GTF in Russia

World Championship in 2011 will be held in Russia, Dubna on theÂ Volga River. It is located two hours awayÂ from Moscow, the capital of Russian Federation and one of the biggest historical cities in the World. This place has been used by water skiers since early 80s, perhaps, before that. One of the greatest russian world known athletes were training there, for example, a world champion and a world record holder Natalia Rumianceva. Â Dubna has been a host site for many World Cup Stops. The last one was held in 2009.Â It alwaysÂ gathers a big audience and has one of the greatest support from the organizers and the public.Â GTF are very exited about this upcoming event.Â We are looking forward toÂ see a big crowd of fansÂ cheering for all the skiers from the bleachers! GTF in Michigan, King of Darkness!

Imagine looking into the pitch black and seeing a jumper flying
Off the ramp Â at more then 100 miles per hour..that was King of Darkness in Holly, Michigan!! The event lasted two days starting at 730 pm finishing around 12 am. Every day we had a pretty big crowd of spectators and sponsors on the shore cheering us up..GTF had a table set up with tshirts, hoodies and hats..we made some money through donations to our bikini fund and sold lots of stuff. As far as the event, each day consisted of two rounds, one in the dusk and final in the dark. Friday was an elimination day. GTF girls making it through were Natie, Marion, Jacinta and Maj. World ski fly tour fliers were Ryan Dodd, Zack Worden, Brian Kinney, Kole Magnowski, Freddy Krueger, Felipe Miranda, Scot Ellis and Damien Sharman. For the girls it all came down to a tie between Jacinta and Natie who both went 169 feet. They had a Jump off w/ one jump each.Â Natie slipped out, Jacinta went 162 and took the title, first Queen of Darkness! Ryan Dood became King Of Darkness followed by Freddy Krueger and Zack Worden. Jacinta, Zack, Nati and Freddy had longest jumps at the eventÂ getting $500 each.

Tour Update

Different tournaments will be taking place this season, most of them with amazing cash prizes.

Recently a new event has been added to the Tour, “The Militia’s Sac-Town GOLD RUSH” in Sacramento,CA.

However the first stop of the tour will be in Louisiana for the “LA Night Jam IV” in Zacahry, LA. Followed by the “Malibu Open” in Milwaukee, WI.

All these events are going to bring large crowds and great off the water shows for the espectators. The adrenaline that this events bring will be the key ingredient to have a great time and watch the best water ski jumpers in the world fly through the air.
